MODE
Applies to ✅ Open Source Edition ✅ Express Edition ✅ Professional Edition ✅ Enterprise Edition
The MODE()
aggregate function calculates the statistical mode of all input values, i.e. the value that appears most in the data set. There can be several modes, in case of which the first one, given an ordering, will be chosen.
SELECT mode() WITHIN GROUP (ORDER BY BOOK.AUTHOR_ID) FROM BOOK
create.select(mode().withinGroupOrderBy(BOOK.AUTHOR_ID)) .from(BOOK)
Producing:
+------+ | mode | +------+ | 1 | +------+
